  • Summary: It worked right out of the box
  • Comment: With Windows Vista n MS Flight Sim X it was recognized with no problem. I've only used it once (testing). The sim took longer to load, but once it started it worked very nice. I just went to the control assignment panel and reassigned the buttons that came as defaults. I hope it keeps working like that for years to come.
Took off in a Baron n tried simulated eng failures. The response was just as close as real life (remember this is a sim).
With regard to [...], 0 complaints. It was delivered in the estimated day in perfect conditions.
I'm a software engineer and multieng rated pilot.

  • Summary: Performance matching.
  • Comment: The CH Throttle Quadrant 300-133 is very good in software matching. The Working in Windows 2000 and XP has gone well. The thing in this unit to work on is the through gradiant in control during landings. The need for more gradient to through ratio is necessary for matching flight control throttle during landings. It is better to use auto throttle and switch this one on during landings and taxi and takeoffs. The buttons tab set of 12 at front of unit need to be spread out and labeled to make them effective and more usable. Hitting one during play is possible and can trigger and option not wanted at that moment.

  • Summary: Nice device
  • Comment: Bought the Quadrant/Yoke/Pro pedal combo and am pleased with the quality and performance of the Yoke and Quadrant. Im using the default settings for both and had to go to "ch hanger" (their forum) to find out what controls/buttons did what as the boxes had no instructions!Cant comment on the pro pedals as I have not used them yet but suspect they may be overkill for my purposes.Perhaps they are more suitable for the joystick? Good luck programming both units if you dont want to use the defaults... it just seemed to be too much of a pain. All in all they are worth the money.

  • Summary: Good Product But Horrible Support
  • Comment: I was very excited ordering this product, amazon delivered it very quickly and i was very happy that it arrived much earlier than i expected. After i opened the box i arranged the axis nobs according to the setting i wanted and plugged it in. My first delema was when i took out the "software" cd and found that the highest OS it has is windows XP, sadly my OS is windows 7 64bit. So i went to CH's site and downloaded the closest one i could find which was for vista 64. Well, i installed the software and my throttle was detected and it seemed ok. I do not own a registered version of FSUIPC so i had to manually set the reverse thrust, so far it was ok....

Suddenly the settings went haywire, the first throttle jumped 50% up at idle and then slowly everything else went wrong with the throttle axis. I immediately contacted their support and they replied in about 2-3 days asking me for my sensitivity. i tried replying to that person on the next day (friday) and i kept getting "undelivered" emails. so i tried again next tuesday and my message went and i havent heard any reply from them even until today, if it wasn't for the CH forums that i found after a long search, i found someone that had a similar problem and followed the solution then it started working properly.

So yeah if you are using Flight Simulator X and windows vista 64 or windows 7 64 you are very likely to get that problem. Solution is to just run fsx and go to "calibrate" then click on the CH throttle and do not calibrate, just click on the top left tab then click "Set to default" and then click ok and close fsx. After that go to the CH control software and then calibrate it there and then run fsx and it will work fine.

For the reverse thrust you can just assign "throttle (Decrease quickly)" to the button that is activated below the minimum of any of the axis or just buy and register FSUIPC and you dont need to assign anything.

  • Summary: Lovely piece of equipment
  • Comment: Firm, stable, smooth operation. CH products are hard to beat. There's something really cool about grabbing a handful of throttles and easing them forward...
